The Value Of Deep Conversations With Strangers

Just spent several hours sitting on a bench outside the library having a deep, in-person conversation with another INTJ — a senior in CS. When I shared my thoughts, my philosophy, my various ideas, my choices, my goals with him, we very naturally arrived at consensus. Hearing about his experiences, his understandings, and his views also added new layers to my understanding of society. After this conversation, I’m even more convinced of the necessity of having a deep exchange with a stranger every week. Other people’s context is infinite. Talking with AI matters, but talking deeply with people of varied profiles matters too — and observing them — neither can be skipped. Enjoy chatting.
